Before the procedure
- For 2 weeks before the procedure avoid sunbathing, tanning beds and self-tanner.
- For 5–7 days before, pause peels, scrubs, retinoids and acids in the treatment area.
- Tell your specialist about any medication: some antibiotics, isotretinoin and St John’s wort increase sensitivity to light.
- For epilation: shave the area 12–24 hours before; no waxing, epilator or tweezers for 4 weeks before.
- Come without makeup or cream on the area — or wash them off in the studio.
- On the day — no deodorant, perfume or oils on the area.
